P250UA5Which one, p220 legion or 320X-ten in 10mm
A P320 [in 9mm] is my EDC, but given those 2 options, I'd go for the P220.
Have had range time with a few in 45 over the years & they always just point & shoot naturally for me.

10-7 leoI had a P220 Legion 10mm, P320 Xten and P320 XTen Comp to compare side by side.
I liked the XTen for the slightly higher velocities.
The P220 grip gives me the best feel in hand. To me, the recoil felt the same as the XTen.
The XTen Comp I would say was about 20% less felt recoil than the XTen and P220.
Velocities using 155gr FMJ handloads: XTen-1290fps, P220-1230fps, XTen Comp-1166fps.
I don't recall any being significantly more accurate than the other two.
Personally, I find full sized pistols the most difficult to carry, so I sold the XTen. I still have the P220 because I like all stainless pistols. I will likely never carry it because of it's weight. I can manage to carry the XTen Comp, if necessary, so it's also a keeper.
I contacted Holosun and their rep said all of their pistol optics will handle 10mm recoil.
Hope this info helps.

Ronin101I would do the Xten or a glock 20. Maximum ammo capacity half the weight and price

I have had several and still own several. One of them is a P220 in 10mm. It is one of the best shooting handguns I own.
I also own a couple P320 FS pistols.
For 10mm, i say go with the P220.
My choice for polymer, striker fired, beat around 10mm is my Glock 20
Good info for the OP, good takeoff point for more research. I guess it could be hard to find rental guns in 10 for these models, but maybe possible if you're willing to travel some distance, maybe a few road trips, if you like driving and traveling. If you did do it, don't forget to take detailed notes and write them down in real-time while you're shooting the examples. It will be invaluable to you in making a purchase decision. I've done this with success with other things, since I don't have that kind of memory. Sometimes it's just one little thing you forgot, or remembered, that becomes extremely important, that you happened to write down.
Or buy one try it, keep or resell until you find the holy grail. The only way I can tell for sure is to shoot them, and prob mostly true for everyone.

RoofussNew addition, P220 Legion in 10mm. Got a nib gun for a buy it now with all the goodies for substantially less than retail. The owner bought it and just left it in his safe, never fired . Should see it in a week or so.

RoofussThanks. As the original poster of this thread, just wanted to update as I had several suggestions on which gun to choose. Now its on to getting reloading components and possibly a red dot addition to the gun.

RoofussThey're pricey, retail / MSRP is $1599. but I watched online for a few weeks and came across a fella who bought one new , but never fired it, and it just became a safe queen. I was able to get it for $1200+ shipping and I'm one happy camper!
