I have a Grayguns flat trigger in my German P229. Not sure why I never noticed this before, but the trigger has some play side-to-side. If I shake the gun, I can actually hear the sides of the trigger rattle against the frame. I just checked my P220 (10mm), which also has a Grayguns flat trigger, and it does not have this issue. Anyone else experience this? Happiness is a warm gun.

It’s a non-issue. The play that I have seen have been minor side to side. It isn’t a true “wobble” normally as the pin fits the hole in the trigger properly. There are no usage concerns. Different guns/triggers have different tolerances is all. Of course, not being able to examine it makes my opinion a SWAG based upon other guns I have and have seen. Enjoy!

Hi! My partner Jerry here is correct. Precise measurement of your trigger pivot pins will show that the 220 pin is slightly larger. As well, 229 frame openings are often slightly wider. How does it shoot for you? Feel free to contact us if it presents an performance problem? I guarantee everything for life (with a few commonsense caveats). Hi Bruce! Thanks for the insight. A few more details from my end: Exeter slide atop a German frame; Sig .357 barrel inside what was originally a .40 cal decocker; SRT + your trigger. I actually still have the packaging for the trigger, and it says: "P22XST Dual Adjustable Straight Trigger TRG-SIG-22X-DAS." While this serves as a carry weapon, and the trigger has been in there for a while, I only noticed the 'wobble' recently, as I had been rotating through other carry weapons this year and then grabbed this one to clean, etc. over the holidays. My caliper won't reach the trigger opening from the top of the frame, so I can't get a precise measurement, but we're looking at about 10.61mm wide, give or take, at the front end of the opening (I can barely get my caliper to reach from around the outside of the trigger guard, so I am eyeballing a bit here). Trigger pin is 4.47mm in diameter. Not sure if that is consistent with what you would expect. My caliper shows your trigger at 9.33mm wide with a ~4.5mm hole (same as the frame if the gun), but you probably knew that. To your question, the weapon fires exactly as it should (although at >15 yards I think I always shoot high and right with this one--but I concede that is my fault, not the weapon and certainly not your trigger). In any event, I was just trying to figure out [a] whether my issue unique/unusual and [b] what I could do to mitigate. I don't think a warranty swap is in order (unless you do). I was however wondering if slightly bending the trigger bar inward might help reduce the play without compromising reliability. Thoughts? If this is all "by design" and meets the specs then I am still more than 100% satisfied, as I've always been with Grayguns. I've been using your stuff for a third of my life in almost all my Sigs.
