Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, if it's teased by a manufacturer, it's going to be a disappointment.
The one time in a hundred is represented by things like the Glock G43.

It seems that if a company wants to be competitive in the pistol market, they have to have a striker gun (or a line of them.) Since CZ's poly-hammer guns seem well regarded, this one might be worthwhile.

I'll be very excited if it does turn out to be a striker fired P07. Nothing groundbreaking but it's a pistol I had hoped to see for a long time.

Which for me was a complete disappointment. Color me interested. FWIW, I like Glocks. Picked up a G26 as my new CCW piece a few days ago.

You'll be plenty disappointed when CZ smashes your dreams of the "ultimate pistol", because it's going to turn out to be just another "meh".
And I'm sure whatever CZ has under wraps will outsell the G43.

I talked with my buddy who works at my range/gun store and he said the owner already has 3 on order. He said he didn't have any more info but if it does turn out to be what we think he'll set one aside for me.

I'm going to keep an open mind for the new CZ striker gun. I didn't want to like the P-09 when it came out. I shot bullseye matches with it all of 2014. I didn't want to like the P-07 when it was revised. It's now one of my favorite range and demo guns. And I won a local bullseye match with it as well (with a red dot installed temporarily from my real bullseye gun).
I've learned to hold off saying I will never get one until I see it and shoot it. But I don't NEED another pistol!
