andronicus365 15 round magazine
A shop by me had a barely used 365 15 round magazine with the baby sh*t colored basepad for $10 in their bargain bin. I bought it knowing I could resell it for more if it did not work. It locks in my standard 365 but does not lock the slide back on an empty chamber. Anyone use these and did they work OK?

sigarms229I have lots of 15 round P365 mags, like 20 or so and every one has locked the slide open on the last round.
I would suggest disassembling it and giving it a cleaning. Also check the follower for any rough edges in the plastic.

PatenIf cleaning doesn't make a difference, try swapping the spring and follower with a known good magazine to see if the problem follows the mag body or spring/follower combo. If it's the spring/follower that's the problem you might want to try a MagGuts kit to replace them.

FredwardIf you don't like the base plate color, they're cheap from places like CDNN.

cslingerFood for thought. I have seen magazine’s assembled incorrectly from the factory on more than one occasion from more than one company.
Disassemble and reassemble see if that helps.

JohnP292I've noticed this a couple of times when using the 17-round mags in my P365XL. Just had it cleaned tonight so we'll see if it happens next trip to the range, which will probably be tomorrow.

Update: It did it to me twice last night.

cslingerYou sure it’s the magazine and you aren’t riding the slide lock? Just a thought.

Very possibly on that small frame. I'll try to pay attention to that next range day.

A good trick to ensure you aren't riding the slide lock is to test out that magazine while shooting it one-handed in your left hand.
If it doesn't lock back while shooting it right-handed, but does when shooting it left-handed, then you're riding the slide lock.
