I have a 229 Legion with a GG flat dual adjustable trigger and GG spring kit. Anyone ever try the GG SRT kit. Wondering if the sear will make any difference? Supposed to be stoned, polished and coated.

It comes with the SRT kit from Sig. Why would you want to change to a different one?

The Grayguns has a stoned and polished sear. The Sig is mim. Really im only interested in the Grayguns sear. Wonder if it would make a difference?

The difference would be minimal for most shooters. A lot of dry fire will give you the same effect.

I have a Gray Guns kit in one of my 229's and the factory in another. It is really hard to tell any difference. I only purchase the Gray Guns kit because I found a good deal on it used and needed a second kit for my second 229. At least for me the factory kit is fine.

I decided not to bother getting it. I was just interested in the sear. Thanks for the info guys.

Sorry to be late to the thread. I put a GG SRT kit in a standard 229R recently. Between the new sear and 19# spring included, the trigger pull on the pistol was noticeably smoother (not necessarily lighter) but smoother. This p[articular pistol had been used for several pistol classes and some local matches and was definitely broken in. However, given that you already changed the springs and have the SRT capability and without knowing how "smooth" your trigger already is, its hard to say if the Sear will be value added. I'd take JLJONES' advice.

My 229 Legion already has the GG flat trigger, Sig armorer super strut and the GG competition spring kit. Plus I polished up the internals. Its smooth and shoots great. The GG sear is what really intrigued me. I dont think I can really get it any better than what it is now. But you know how it is always looking to improve it.
