Hi All,
I hope you are ALL well. The reason I ask is that I see most, not all companies do not have what I actually want. I didn't get this model with the intention of mounting an RDS. Since I am not going the RDS route, am I able to install sights that are not taller than current plastic sights even though the mounting plate is on the pistol. Or is the plate preventing me from installing regular Gen 5 fiber optic sights for G43? It's a daytime walking the dog gun around my property and my daytime carry off the property pistol. My G45 MOS handles my nightly needs. (Truglo tritium/fiber optic sights TLR7-A light (BTW, love the setup) as during the day I walk him off-leash and have a free hand. At night he is on leash the TLR-7A helps if i have to drop my edc light should he locks eyes on rabbits, raccoons and anything else that goes bump in the night. Sorry for the long post as I was hoping I painted the proper picture.

Thanks, John.

If you have no interest in mounting a RDS, then why did you buy the MOS version? Did you want Pic rail compatibility that badly?

The MOS system does not affect the rear dovetail sight. You can install whichever Glock compatible sights you want.

You could set up your G43X MOS very close to your G45. TruGlo makes TFOs for slim line Glocks. Streamlight makes a TLR-7A Sub specifically for G43X MOS. A Shield Arms steel mag catch and S15 mags would take your capacity up to 15+1.

Thank you for your input. My favorite toy store and the owner whom I trust wholeheartedly said that even if I choose to not mount an RDS, getting the G43x was the way to go. Because I get the rail should I want to go that route same for the light. She takes GREAT care of me, No haggling required at all and she gave me (2) extra magazines new in package. Whole package was well under 500.00 and gives me multiple configurations and that if I was to sell it down road, most people prefer MOS. BETTER to have it and not need it than need it and have the additional options. In 20 years she has always available and not pushing certain guns because of mark-up. I was looking at the S&W shield performance and pointed out some disadvantages. But I was unclear as to whether I can use any of slim line non MOS height sights. Thank you, John

Going forward, I too am buying the "optic ready" version of pistols if available.
Figure even if I don't dot it, it will have easier/better re-sale.

I bought Ameriglo Troopers for my MOS 43X. Love'em. It doesn't wear an optic, currently. I might add a EPS Carry at some point, but there's no rush.

That was my exact thought as well. Seems everyone wants to have that option. Thanks, John.

I have Ameriglo Hacks on mine.
I had a tlr-7sub on it but decided I liked carrying it without a light. I have a Holosun 407k on it now but that's coming off too. Not liking optics or wmls on smaller guns.

Hi Chowser,
Thanks for posting up the pictures. Looks nice, adding the WML and RDS just make the G43x larger than it needs to be for me, especially in month's where no jacket is required. Many thanks, John.

My top 2 choices are Dawson Precision or 10-8 Performance for iron sights. Black rear, fiber optic front. You can mount either on the MOS without issue. Standard height or suppressor height.

I bought a G48MOS for the rail primarily, but also future proofing to add a dot later, which I did.

It’s 90% of G19, but sometimes in summer, the little bit thinner G48 makes the difference.
