Um...you want the percentage chance that you'll buy a Girsan Hi-Power on Tuesday?

So...is this where I can ask what's the over/under???

While your thread title is ridiculous, I will answer your question.

I have a Girsan P35 HiPower Match and I like it. I have a little less than 1000rds through it with zero malfunctions and around 200 of those were with various hollowpoints.

Accuracy is good. I've seen a few reports of issues with the front sight fiber optic rod falling out but it hasn't happened to me.

Overall I'm happy with it.

Guys

Are we jackals, or what?

Have you ever typed out a line of text, only to later discover you wiped it out and replaced it with something else, like a random character? To me, this looks like an honest mistake. He has no newer posts showing, so I'm guessing that he posted it and hasn't yet checked his thread.

Thank you Para. I have no idea how or why I typed that title. I usually can't even find the % key quickly. My apologies-but the mistaken identity is flattering.

It's easy enough to fix, if you're so-inclined. Just edit the OP and change it Smile

I have two assembled in Portugal Hi-Powers, one a Practical two-tone and the other worked over by Novaks. I have to admit, the price on the Girsan makes it very tempting.

I have a Girsan match and really like it. Have about 300 through it, so not a ton but so far its been flawless.

I've handled one before at my LGS. I've always been a fan of the original one made by FN, so I was curious. Fit/finish seems very solid, especially for the price.

However, I'd personally spend the extra money (if I had it) to get the Springfield. It feels a bit more solid and better-finished. I also like the grips and the fact that Springfield omits the loaded chamber indicator and the magazine disconnect safety of the FN.

I believe the Girsan keeps both of those safeties as well as the grip design of the MKIII. So if faithfulness to the original design is important to you, the Girsan really does seem to come closest.

Hello, tigerbloodwinning. Could you expand on the part I bolded above? I was not aware that the grip design changed among iterations of the Hi-Power.

Are you referring specifically to the grip panels?

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, I meant the MKIII grip panels. The Girsan has that same design with the thumb groove or whatever that raised surface is called. The Springfield has its own unique grips. And from what I know, none of the clones have replicated the original flat MKI grips.
