I picked up an original black finished CS9 afew years back for a deep concealment BUG. It did that job superbly. I have since carried it quite a bit in retirement. I bought a set of those excellent TercGen Delrin grips for it. They are similar to the Big Dog grips and made by a member on another board. They slim the already tiny gun to where I can pocket carry it in a DeSantis Nemesis holster. I like this little 9mm so much, I recently bid on and won a stainless version LE trade in. Light weight, thin, easily concealed and shoots like a much larger pistol. It is my summer carry during the miserably hot and humid NC summer. Anyone else using one of these supeb 9mm CS9s? I had 2 back when they first came out. One was the rare DAO version like a 3953. I say rare because i think they stopped making them right after they put out the DAO version so i don't think there were many made. It was a great little gun, and i have seen a couple used up here in CT but not in 9mm-in .40 and one in .45. Sadly, the little CS9 was an awesome example of what Smith was capable of putting out from a bygone era. I have had many opportunities to pick up some of their stuff from that era, like a shorty 9, shorty .45, a PC 5906 but once i found out that even Smith doesn't make mags for these guns anymore i would pass. You have a great pistol from the Smith and Wesson Golden Age as far as i am concerned

My first CC weapon. Bought at local store maybe 10 years ago. Blued. Paid $400.00. Could not get used to the slide mounted safety. Sold it about a year later and have regretted it all these years. PC

I carried a CS9 under my dress blues and civvies for several years before I retired from th PD. It is the gun given to me at my retirement. A great little gun I wish they still made them. CMSGT USAF (Retired) Chief of Police (Retired)

If they still made them, I could sell every one we could get into the shop! I've lost track of the number of customers who have seen and examined my CS9, then wanted to buy one or buy mine off me. I send them to Gunbroker. Several have returned to the shop to buy ammo and showed me their new to them CS9 and thanked me for putting them on to one. Magsfor the CS9.......and almost every other 3rd gen are readily available at Midway, Numrichs, Gunbroker and Ebay. I keep 6 per gun and have never had a problem aquiring one. And the lack of support from the current company calling itself s&w doesnt bother me. In decades and thousands of rounds, Ive never broken anything and I have enough consumables like recoil springs to last me. Regards 18DAI 7+1 Rounds of hope and change
