What hammer strut, mainspring and seat do I need for E2 or slim grips on my P220s?

Rick LeeWhat hammer strut, mainspring and seat do I need for E2 or slim grips on my P220s?
I know the E2 and factory slim grips don't fit the old P220s with the metal mainspring seats. It's been so long since I did one of these conversions, I can't remember if I bought a kit or rounded up the parts piecemeal. I have six P220s, one has E2 grips, one has factory slim grips and the other four have the metal mainspring seats. I want to convert two of those for the two more pairs of factory slim grips I have. What kit to buy and where? I couldn't find it on SIG's website.

12131You need the long strut and short seat, as shown in the pic.

Rick LeeThanks. That's a lot of parts to buy that I don't need, but I'll start looking at rounding them up piecemeal. I don't want any more E2 grips and certainly don't need a new decocker. Why is that even in that kit? I have several leftover from old E2 kits.

The old decocker's thumb tab is a little bit long that rubs against the E2 grip, thus interferes with normal function. The "new" one's thumb tab is shortened to eliminate that issue.

Rick LeeOk, here's the P220 I have with the slim grips already on. I was surprised the larger plastic seat works with them.
Here are the spare seats and struts I have laying around. I'm not sure if I can use these and just add the springs or what.

Rick LeeDon't those struts all look different?

12131Those are correct (short) struts for the long seats shown. If you take out the main spring assembly from that P220, they will be like that. If you are going to put the E2 grip on, you will need the long strut and short seat as shown in the links above. The main spring will be the same. You do not need a new one.
Here is a pic grabbed online of the three strut system for SIGs. The one you currently have is the top pic. You need the one in the middle for the E2 grip.

Rick LeeI have two pairs of factory slim grips I want to install, no more E2 grips. Thinking I might just need the correct springs. BTW, any benefit to getting lower weight springs? It made some difference in my HK UPSs, but their triggers suck to begin with, whereas SIGs just need to be shot a lot to make the triggers feel better.

Then, just get the main spring in the link I posted above. But, if you feel like the factory DA pull is too heavy, you can always get the reduced power spring from Wolff. I wouldn't go lower than 19 lbs, if the gun is used for self defense, for risk of light primer strike, although I've read that some folks swear by their 17-lb spring without any issues..

Rick LeeOk, I ordered two kits of the various weight springs from Brownell's, as topgunsupply was out of some and had a limit of one kit on the multi-pack. Will report back when I get all this done and tinker with the various weights.

sgtlmjI just upgraded my P220 with a kit from MGW for about $40. I also bought an aluminum seat from a vendor on eBay, and it feels much smoother than the plastic seat. Spring doesn't crunch during D/A now.
