Any owners have recommendations on any triggers or kits? Maybe just leave it be?

Any ammo recommendations or loads to stay away from?

Also, do all 22/45 mags work in the Mk IV?

The intended use for this pistol will be suppressed/simple matches/yard plinking.

I really like this gun!

Mine likes 40gr CCI Blazers and 36gr CCI MiniMags as well as 38gr Federal GameShock. It does not like NormaTac standard velocity.

I put a Volquartsen kit in it, mainly to get rid of the magazine disconnect safety but it’s a nice kit! You can get a bushing from TandemKross to get rid of the magazine disconnect safety for much cheaper.

I don’t think any other MKIV 22/45 mags will work, but I’m not certain. You can sometimes find the magazines 2 for $25 at Buds or other places.

I have mounted some of the tandemkross accessories (compensator, bushing, victory trigger, charging handle, etc)

Good stuff.

I've found the factory trigger satisfactory for my purposes and really like the gun. Mine has been fine with all standard velocity loads. CCI, Federal, Winchester, and Remington have been through it. Mostly suppressed

Mine does not like the Thunderbolt hollow point. Have not tried any other hollow point. Likes all solid points that I have tried, plated and plain lead.

Mine likes the CCI standard and mini-mags. The trigger was not an issue on my gun. I fired a few thousand rounds through it before my wife tried it. She liked it enough so that she bought one of her own. When she received it, the trigger pull was very heavy; heavy enough that she wouldn't shoot it! She's new to pistol shooting.

I took the pistol to my local gunsmith for a trigger job. He polished everything so that the trigger was about 4 lbs. When my wife shot it again, she immediately fell in love!

While TandemCross is relatively close to me and they are very good people to deal with, I'm not confident enough with my lack of gunsmithing capabilities to purchase and drop in one of their assemblies. Hence, my decision to opt for the local gunsmith!

Mine has fed everything I've fed it. I put a TK compensator in it, but haven't touched the trigger yet. I was hitting the 8" Gong at 100 yards with it (ok, not EVERY shot).

I put an Apex trigger kit in my MKIV 22/45 Lite. It feels much better than factory, though the pull weight is likely only slightly less. Mine is reliable with everything I’ve tried so far. It has become my favorite plinker and trail gun. Ruger had a sale on magazines a while back, so I bought a few.

Ruger Mark IV 22/45 LITE

Vortex Optics Viper
Burris Fastfire 3 mount
Volquartsen Competition Bolt
Tandemkross Victory Trigger
Tandemkross Cornerstone Extended Safety
Volquartsen Accurizing Kit

I had a ton of problems after adding the accurizing kit, but they were completely resolved after adding the competition bolt. Now the thing eats anything I feed it.

I ordered the Volquartsen accurizing kit and two more mags. The pistol should be in tomorrow and I look forward to hitting the range with it. Thanks to everyone for their input. Upcoming will be ordering a can for it.
