Not exactly. Grips of the P229C and P229 are not interchangeable.

I remember the 224, but not the 229C. Were they around very long?

They were quite short-lived.

I never owned one or even held one. But I wish I had purchased one when they were available. It seemed to me to be a logical evolution to the P225.

I had a 224 in .40 when they first came out, loved the controls on it, nifty little gun, in retrospect, I wish I’d have hung on to it but it was a blocky little chunk. A good friend of mine had a 229c, it was ok but I preferred a regular 229 to it

I had one NIB that I sold to another member on a WTB. When he got it the thing wouldn't work, FTF etc. He sent it to Sig and they said it couldn't be fixed and offered him a new M11-A1 which he accepted. My only experience with the 229C but it did feel good in the hand.

Always thought the 229C would go well with my P224 SAS DAK. I had one on order once but the damn place never fulfilled it!

Question: Was there actually a P229C made in that configuration or did someone simply place a 224 slide on a 229 frame and call it a "229C"?

How did I not know about this? Somehow, it just slipped right past me. I want one.

I'm not sure where you're located in TX but here's one that just went up today on Texasguntrader. If I didn't have one exactly like it I'd be interested myself.
