What is everyone's opinion on the 365 V Crown ammunition? I'm looking to find the best ammo for short barrel 9mm pistols.

I like the V-crown ammunition; I carry it in .357 Sig, and also in 9X19mm. For short barrel, I like Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel ammunition. There are a lot of good choices out there.

I am not too sure what caliber you are looking at. I am guessing that the 375 was meant to be a 357. However SIG offers both 357 SIG and 357 Magnum

My only experience is with the 357SIG and 10MM Auto offerings. I have found both to be exceptional in their reliability and accuracy from my firearms

My 365 loves Speer Gold Dots in 124gr +P.. or their Short Barrel loading in the same weight.

I will admit that when Sig started selling ammo, I figured it was just a marketing gimmick. I still think it's kind of a marketing ploy, but it's really good ammo! I've found it to be 100% reliable, it has good expansion in gel, and good weight retention. It's also reasonably priced for quality defensive ammo, and as an added bonus, the bullets are made by Sierra, who also sells them as components. Vcrown has become my go-to when I can't get my hands on any Federal HST, and the only reason I prefer HST is commonality with my duty load. Sig did this one right.

No issues with it in my 357Sig P320C
Was the most off-the-shelf available JHP I could find when I got it, ran a few boxes to test & have been carrying it since.

In 9mm, most of the wider open-mouth JHPs don't feed well in my pocket-carry KelTec P11. It seems to prefer a sharper taper to the bullet, so I've been using Hornady Critical Defense in it.

I believe the original poster asked specifically about short barrel 9mm pistols, and specifically about the Sig 365 vcrown ammunition, which is 9X19mm, originally released for the P365.

The entire paragraph read

I read his post to be two separate questions with the 375 being a typo in the subject line that should have read 357 instead and the second question being that he was looking for a short barrel 9MM offering

I originally wrote that first line hoping that the OP would post again in order to clarify his statement so that we do not have to simply believe....we could know instead

At the time, it did not register with me that SIG had released several 9MM ammunition variations called 365

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Yes, it was a typo. I meant 365.

Thanks for all the replies. Smile
