Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I've been looking for an older Sile grip. Not really buying any more gun, sure... but we can play dress-up.

Nice little pistola. I had a Charter .44 Special with the same/similar grips and it was a solid performer. Wood always looks nice on a revolver but for function/usage, I prefer the rubber grips.

Looks pretty nice, sir! I have yet to find one of the older Charters in decent shape. I've handled a couple and like how they lock the cylinder to the frame in the front ... just like the old Hi-Standard Sentinel and Double-Nine.

One thing about Charters is that the grip-frame is the same for them all. So, if you see a CA-marked set of grips that capture your attention, buy with confidence.

Yes they are nice some time back I picked up a early Stanford Conn , in the black box 44 spl in stainless , had the pachmayr grip and the new wood grips that came on got the box and papers for like 250 bucks , real smooth action looks unfired , saw 2 speed loaders in a junk box with 5 big holes I new what they were for got em for 5 bucks each .
