I built a P320 USW pistol using a B&T USW chassis, a FarrowTech tailhook adapter and a Tailhook Mod 1. Here’s the video of how one gets assembled: https://youtu.be/_W2AsHJXMXo The relevant portion of the video begins at about 1:25 when he installs the “hook” into the clamping area of the tailhook I really enjoy the USW but in keeping with the idea of compactness I swapped the standard tailhook for a tailhook mod 1c. Unfortunately the clamping area of the mod1c is lower than that if the mod 1. As such when the hook piece that came with the tailhook adapter is installed in a mod 1c it sits too low and doesn’t engage the retention area of the USW chassis. I need to fabricate a hook that is “taller” by about half an inch. Unfortunately Farrowtech is unresponsive to both calls and e-mails. Any ideas on how I can make this work? Here are two pics. The first shows the hook on the left (attaches to the folding brace portion) and the hook on the right (attached to the frame). The second pic shows the height difference between the two once folded. https://imgur.com/a/njdpH85

I would suggest either a 1095 steel or 6061 aluminum block, filed to shape, and bolted at the band of the Tailhook, using a 10-32 domed bolt in a recess. Probably a 3/4"x1/2"x1/4" block, as a starting point?
