Thanks again Rustpot. I was only aware of the Langdon LTT. While I would like a rail, IMHO I believe that pistols look better without them and at 33 oz. the pistol is heavy enough without any added weight. I will take a look at this option. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. PS Rustspot. Is the front sight on the L M9 a night sight and can it be changed? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. I don't believe so on either. The link is to Beretta's website for that specific pistol, I don't see those features in the photos, or mentioned in the specs.

Other than the afore mentioned 22s, I would recommend the Sig P226 Legion. Personally, I got the SAO but the DA/SA is available as well. It comes "tricked out" right out of the box and is an absolutely pleasure to spend time with at the range with very little recoil in 9mm. I've shot a huge variety of semi autos from CZ to Beretta to HK to Sig, and my Legion is my favorite by far. It just does everything well and is now available with a red dot sight which is perfect for my failing eye sight. Good luck in your quest and happy shooting!

I did some more research Rustpot and only on the following models can you change the front sites M9A1, Brigadier, and M9A3. There may have been other models but from my search this is the information I was able to find. PS I am not sure about the Wilson combat models. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. Besides a lousy finish that wears off easily what is wrong with Berettas Soggy_Spinout? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu. I rented and shot one. It was ok, but nothing I found awe inspiring, or what i'd want to go buy. It's a very big 9mm (physically). I find this recent resurgence of them and Wilson tuning them and so forth to be quite odd considering it's one of the oldest 9mm double stack designs and nobody paid too much attention to them before besides the US government.

Having recently picked up a Dan Wesson Specialist in 9mm, I can attest to the above - soft shooting and very high quality. Plus it comes with 10rd mags, not 9. Just throwing this thought out there, as I've recently retired myself and my eyes are no longer what they used to be lol, but maybe consider something as well that has the option right from the factory to mount an RDS. ________________________ Sic transit gloria mundi Canadian Coast Guard - Retired

Facing 68 straight in the face, with a big helping of arthritis, I find my H&K VP9 very comfortable to shoot (with the nice adjustable grips and easy on the hand trigger). I wouldn't knock my Sig P250, either, not with the choice of large, medium, or small grip frames (not to mention changes from full to compact to subcompact). A model 65 or 66 S&W k-frame revolver, with a relatively inexpensive action job, is sweetness itself. I was able to shoot both in spite of a persistent bout of tendonitis in my shooting hand several years ago. Be sure you (1) investigate your medical options by consulting several board-certified orthopedists; physical therapy and even surgery may be able to help. Also, try making an extract in a bottle of decent red wine (less one glass) by adding 6-8 tablespoons each of ground ginger and ground turmeric, plus one tablespoon of ground black peppercorns. Add several very large pinches of dried rosemary. Buy these all in bulk for a little $$$ on Amazon. Let everything soak for two weeks, in a cool place, shaking twice or more daily, and finally letting it settle and filter the liquid. You will have prepared an extract of an effective anti-inflammatory which has none of the downsides of Advil, aspirin or the like (NSAIDS). Use by the dropperful daily (adjust dosage as needed)and allow up to four or five weeks for initial improvement. It may give pain relief much faster. Then maintain with daily doses. Hey, it can't hurt! Everything in it is a food-grade condiment, spice, or drink. The pepper merely helps absorption. Tastes great hidden in tomato juice or a bloody or virgin Mary. Not bad with cold OJ. And see if your shooting arm improves! Brian
