I've become a revolver fan and ended up with two Colts within a few weeks of each other a few years back. Both went to a friend, I'm sticking with Smiths. The Python, even after a new set of grips, just... meh. Maybe it has an air of fragility to it the way people have propped up the snake guns, and I'm just so used to the push-to-release on the S&W and working it with my wrong hand (lefty).

I also have a growing disinterest in the Sig 320. I jumped in, have 2 now, and they stay at home when I head to the range.

You guys have more will power than I do. I tried a friends high end 1911 and I went off the deep end. Sold lots of guns to get one and then another. I loved them until I needed their customer service. The pistols are first class though.

Every "race gun" pistol I've ever held and fired, especially double stack 1911 variants.

They look so ridiculous, gaudy - really, that I can't get past it.

It's my problem, of course. Damn fine pistols, otherwise.

A classy, simple, but fancy 1911, however, like a Yost Series 70 Colt, that's different. Smile

Good friend finally got a prized high dollar 1911. I shot it and it was no big deal. It shot like any gun with a good SA trigger job. It may well have had some awesome 50 yard accuracy or something, but I was expecting something grand for the amount of money he spent.

Every Ruger I have fondled/owned/shot.

With the exception of the 10/.22 , the #1 and their early Blackhawks, before the addition of the SAFETY paragraph on the barrel.

Otherwise their offerings do nothing for me.

Same for GLOCKS in general, since the start.

In my case I end up impressed and wanting one for my own. That's how I ended up with the P210, P7M8, and P88. Big Grin

I bought one before I shot one: P88. I'd constantly heard how spectacular these Walthers were from a buddy of mine, then reinforced by many glowing comments throughout the internet. I find one in nice shape and a fair price and decide to buy it. It shoots well but doesn't impart any impression on me that justifies all the prior accolades. So it's more a safe queen these days.

Then there's my P210 Legend, another one I bought before shooting. I'd shot a couple of Swiss P210 prior to buying the Legend, was extremely smitten and impressed by those. I assumed more of the same with the German P210. It's good, but not in the same league. Yeah I was let down, though over time I've warmed to the gun. Problem was (and still is) that I really enjoy my CZ Shadow that I already had at the time and to that end my Legend just doesn't ignite the same neurons in my brain as my Arizona Czech does.
