I'm happy with the factory night sights that came with my 1911 TACOPS, but in the future I'd like to swap them out.

In particular, I would like to go with Trijicon HD XRs, but I don't see them offered for any 1911. Do the HDs for "SIG" fit on the 1911s too?

What type of cut does SIG use so I know what to look for when I hunt for sights, if the HDs won't work?

SIG 1911s use a Novak-like sight, but I'm not sure about the specs on the sight dovetail cuts used on SIGs. If SIG is using dovetail cuts of the same dimensions as Novak cuts, then the Trijicon HDs for 1911 will work. I don't see HD XR sights for 1911s on the Trijicon sight though - just regular HDs.
