The clip on the one I was using doesn't work with my new belt, isn't thick enough to effectively clip on the belt.

I prefer horizontal orientation, if possible, but vertical is okay. I would also prefer something that I can put on and remove easily without removing the belt, but with loops snug enough for the holster not to flop around.

Asking too much? Leather is okay, but not required. I have an iPhone 13.

Thanks in advance for personal recommendations.

While their offerings might not meet all your requirements, I’d recommend taking a look at and possibly talking to Black Hills Leather out of Laredo, TX.

I’m an iPhone user and just can’t carry the phone in a pocket like a normal person haha…I’m also an Otterbox fan and like their proprietary belt clip, but haven’t met a clip yet that I won’t eventually break and, further, once I started wearing a good “gunbelt,” the clips weren’t wide enough.

I’ve used a Black Hills pouch for years, going back to the iPhone 4S days. Had to get a larger pouch at some point, but the current one that is carrying an 8Plus will also hold at least an 11 and possibly a 13 when I finally upgrade.

I use one from Bullhide.

Very high quality, but slides on the belt so may not meet your requirements.

I used to buy Pdair holsters for my phones because they were the first one I found that I liked. Unfortunately they are made in China and when I bought my Galaxy S20+ in 2020 you couldn't buy them because of the lock downs in China and they haven't been in business since then. So I had to find an alternative. After searching for a while on Amazon I found Turtleback. I found that it was roomy enough to handle my phone in a case and the hook on the back rotates and is big enough to fit on a 1.75" wide belt. They have both vertical and horizontal styles and it looks like they are on sale right now.

I've only ever owned the one but it's lasted for over 2 years now and still looks as good as new. Made in the USA as well.

I just got one of these for my iPhone 13. It will attach/remove without sliding off the belt, but it may be floppy depending on how thick the belt you're using.

Family connection here, but good, rugged leather gear. His phone case however only has the belt loop. I’ve not had great luck over the years with phone case clips.
Good luck!
