I just want a 48 with a COA. This seems like a big deal. They had to have been working on this prior to that law. So the question, which I assume is a yes, is do they undergo the California roster gauntlet with this new V? | |||

I’ll not be supporting Glock going forward based upon this development. They needed to take a stand against CA’s ludicrous legislation and they refused. I’m also beyond done with any company that rolls over and accepts the thinking that machine guns are bad so it’s ok to make it harder to make them. Not one more inch with respect to our gun rights! Machine guns are arms protected by the 2nd Amendment, just like your grandpa’s deer rifle, or your cousin’s trap gun, or your wife’s CCW that she keeps in her purse. This is asinine and I hope Glock catches hell for this from consumers. “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. Just bought a Gen 5 19 MOS. For ME: DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9 Striker fired= Glock 9mm If it's a .45= 1911 Suppressed= HK in .45 I like anything in 10mm | |||

Do we think Glock dreamt this up in the past three months? Or, do we think Glock saw the way the wind was blowing and decided to engineer a solution to get ahead of the problem? I would like to see what this new V-series looks like before I pass judgement. | |||

No S&W because of the ILS. No Sigs because of how they are handling the P320. Now, no Glocks. Seems like the selection is going to get sparse for some buyers who like to boycott. | |||

My Glock 19 COA that I got seems like an even smarter purchase now. lol I don't know how I feel about this. The fact that they have new model V ready to go makes me think they were developing this anyway. As for CA driving this, well CA has been driving the Gen3 bus for years. If you are pissed at this you should have been pissed at that. There never was a reason to continue Gen3 production after the Gen4 came out. I will reserve judgement till I see this thing. | |||

Is it possible that whatever they had to do in the redesign of the slide will not allow for the MOS cut?? Or have they realized that the MOS cut is really not all that great and they have come up with something new, or are they going to go all in on the ACUT?
It does not say anything about nothing being optically ready. Just says no MOS. Maybe they are going all in on the ACUT or maybe they will take this as an opportunity to introduce a new mounting system considering the MOS system really is not all that great. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. I have no boycott going on against S&W, and I even own 2 revolvers that came equipped with those useless locks. I had reservations towards S&W for a bit but ultimately after a change in ownership, a change in attitude and some time, I actually view them pretty darn favorably. SIG is dead to me because of the 320 debacle and more importantly their handling of it. I own several Glocks and have no intention of getting rid of any of them. I just have no intention of supporting them for a while going forward, be that with a new pistol or their AR which I was actually interested in trying out. My feelings may change over time, but I think it’s most likely to get the message across to them most effectively to express my displeasure with this decision now. The most effective way for me to do that is to not make any purchases with them now. I was actually considering purchasing a couple of their COA equipped pistols but will not do so now. So how long before somebody designs a switch that works with the Glock V? Because you know somebody's going to figure it out and do it. I don’t need a red dot, don’t care about finger grooves, don’t like ambidextrous controls, they already canceled all my favorite models; and barely used police Gen 3/4 Glocks are so abundant and cheap right now that I’ve accumulated far more Glock pistols than I could ever honestly use. Wasn’t planning on ever buying anything Gen 5 anyway (just an hour ago I swapped Gen 4 base plates onto some Gen 5 G17 magazines I bought by mistake, so they will work with my X-Grips). I’ll wait and see what the V models look like. There might be something interesting there. Glock won’t really piss me off as long as they continue providing parts and service for old models. | |||

I would assume the G43X and G48 made the cut due to not even being on CA’s roster in the first place, but I thought both models were already discontinued during the previous round of elimination anyway. | |||

I give it a month, tops. It'll be a printable you can download on Odysee by the end of the year. Besides, FRT's literally exist and you don't have a big tumor on the back of the slide.
