I hope I am putting this in the right place. I was looking around for some .38-40 ammo and the best price I could find on this particular caliber was a place called Ammo Lab in New Hampshire. I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with them? Thanks for any help.

I live in NH. They are now in the building previously owned by Riley's Sports - a long time NH FFL. I have not purchased from them but their storefront is legit.

Thank you. The reviews are mixed. I will have to debate.

Is this just the lowest price for name brand factory loads or is it something they cook up in the back room?

The forum does have a section just for ammo; just scroll down past the main sections: Billy Bob's BangBang Boutique Another good resource is ammoseek.com for loaded ammunition or reloading components: https://ammoseek.com/ammo/38-40-winchester Do you reload? It may be worth looking into if you shoot this caliber a lot. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. Thanks for the suggestions.I think it is Black Hills brand. I found it on ammo seek. I have been reloading for many years. I don't anticapate shooting this gun very much. I was thinking of getting a couple of hundred rounds of factory ammo, and then reloading the brass.

I would buy factory ammo with the best quality brass. Not sure if starline is still good. ------- Trying to simplify my life...
