I suspect some of you have number of these, but I have never seen one from Sig...

Picked up a Sig P226 Elite sold to me by a fellow member here yesterday and it came with four magazines and two of them were these.

I have bins full of ban era marked full capacity mags. They were dirt cheap after the ban sunset, and I swore I would never be without an acceptable number of magazines ever again. I don’t think they’re collectible as they were mass produced for over a decade. If anything, they serve as a reminder to all of us to stock up when things are quiet and available.

Maybe a hundred years from now. Maybe not. Right now? No.

Pre-ban magazines command a premium, due to folks in a few states being limited to only using them. But as said, ban period magazines are not collectible or valuable.

I really did not think they were 'collectable' it's just that I have a number of Sigs and corresponding magazines and have never seen one with the LEO limitations on it. But then I think all the Sigs I've bought are post ban.

You will find several brands marked as such. Many years back I worked for a company whos punch presses made millions of pistol and rifle magazines. The pistol mags with this stamping were mostly S&W and Ruger. Completed and assembled magazines got locked up each night inside a chain link storage area in the plant. They were hot to the touch in New York State. Maybe even bad for ones vision. Also made millions of M16 and Mini 14 mags. Lots of others.

A Sig magazine is usually worth more if it is stamped with 7.65mm or .38 Super.

I don't think the restricted stamping would do much to help the value.
