Found a M&P .357 Sig

4859Found a M&P .357 Sig
I had been looking for one of these for some time. I should have bought a new one before S&W discontinued them in 2011. This one is for sure an old Police gun. Night sights and level 3 holster wear, but not beat up. Just honest wear. AIM Surplus has used mags for $10.95 right. Will have to order some more now.

sigfreundNeat. I like mine, but mostly shoot 40 with it.

4859When the M&P first came out I bought one in .40 S&W. Never could warm up to .40 S&W. I just don't like it.

SteveFi have .357 sig barrel for my M&P 40 - like shooting it but still building up brass reserves so I can start to reload that caliber too.

colt_saaCongratulations.
That is a terrific price on magazines. It is a shame I do not need any.
The M&P chambered in 357SIG is a nice combination.
I have put lots of ammunition through the three that I have
I have been shooting the full sized pistols for about a decade now, however I just got a compact last year and can not be more than pleased with it
But then the 357SIG is one of my favorite modern era cartridges

dry-flyI had a really nice M&Pc in .357Sig for a while. I bought it from a member here. It had night sights and the Apex treatment. Not sure why I sold it now..?

4859Yes, I am going to invest in some Apex parts for this. I have a 2.0 in 9mm coming soon.

ScrewballI was thinking about getting barrels for my two M&P40s; a Compact and a 5" Pro. Felt it wouldn't be worth it for me.
The .357 SIG interested me, but I also just got a SUB-2000 in .40 that takes M&P magazines. Having the .357 ability in my pistols just makes me worry about a magazine of .357 SIG ending up into the Kel-Tec. Just easier to stick with .40... and a little less expensive (barrel and ammo costs).
Now, if the member on S&W forum got the 10mm conversion barrel project back up... I'd have a barrel for my 1006 in .40 and .357 SIG.

4859I would love a 1006 or 4006 with a .357 Sig barrel.

How about a Performance Center produced Shorty 357SIG?
You should have no trouble getting 357SIG barrels made for the 1006 or 4006 as long as you have the cash and are patient enough to wait for them to be custom manufactured.

There is no doubt that LUCK plays a part in finding unusual things.
Of course it also helps that I actively seek out the unusual and folks know it

I usually think that the term "Grail Gun" is over used. Especially when it is attached to a firearm that there are ten or fifteen thousand or more of out in the market place
The problem here is that the firearm pictured is a run of one.

The serial numbers before it and after it are different models.
It would be kind of like searching for the SIGMA that was made out of Titanium
The barrels for all of the Shorties, 952s, 3566s, etc. were manufactured by Briley. They are Very, VERY good barrels.

That is incredibly awesome. I so wish Smith & Wesson would jump back into the 3rd Gen pistols. Those really make their current offerings look low rent. I lost a 5903 in a divorce. I miss that gun a whole lot more than I miss the ex wife.
SIG SAUER...... Get you some!
