The great "Holster Plight" returns.
You buy a gun; you buy a holster that fits.
Then… Your department lets you put a light on it. You buy (another) holster that fits.
Then… Your department lets you put a RDS on it. You buy (yet another) holster that fits.

Double it if you like / need / want an IWB and an OWB.

I'm not lying, this habit is getting expensive! Eek

I joke with the wife all the time- Don’t ask about the guns, and I won't ask about the shoes & boots.
Mostly because I don't want to hear "But these shoes go with this, and those boots go with that, but if it's cold, I need to wear these…"
I'm starting to understand her Shoe / Boot thing!
"This holster is if I want a light, this holster is if I don't..."
I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to hear it either.

My current plight is for a G-43X: I have a kydex IWB and leather OWB.
I just tossed on a Holosun and suppressor height sights (MAN, those things are TALL!).
Time to look for another holster Wink

I have bought a gun just because I already have a holster it fits.

I don't know if this would be a possibility, but I modified a holster to accept my pistol with or without a light (don't have an RDS, so I don't know about that). I simply opened up a seam and replaced it with a removable velcro strap.

^ Its not the Light end, its the Sight end. The suppressor height sights are TALL! The muzzle end won’t fit into “normal” holsters.
The way it’s looking, Im able to keep the regular height irons and I can still co-witness them through my RDS.

Muddy River Tactical has been good to me for the 43X with the Holosun and Streamlight TLR 7 Sub.

I am currently moving away from the Glock. Found the Walther PDP - f series. Now trying to find a holster for that has been a bitch and a half.

Just a thought but I'm running standard sights with a Holosun EPS carry on my 48. The sights are deep in the window but certainly usable. I use a Werkz with a Utiliclip or a Safariland Incog X.

Not for my subs but for some of my fullsized guns that are hard to find holsters for like my PDP, I've been running a Phlstr Floodlight 2 and that is stupid comfortable and retains on the light so you can get anything from a 1911 to a PDP in as long as you can put a light on it. My only complaint is it is softer and will slightly close in your pants when you go to reholster. Not a super big carry issue but if you go to a class I could see that being super annoying.

There's an estimated 40 week plus wait for custom holsters (Summer Special 2) ordered from Milt Sparks (my favorite). I ordered a "Resolute" IWB from MTR to fit my Glock 43x with Holosun optic and co-witness height Trijicon sights (YES! They ARE TALL!) and the fit, finish, and feel of the MTR is quite acceptable. The fact that I was able to actually get this holster within about 60 days is certainly worth noting. Check them out!!!

I love Milt Sparks, but Ryan Grizzle was half the wait, half the cost, and all the quality I could ask for. Would absolutely recommend his stuff.

Also guilty. I bought a Glock 30s mostly because it was the same size as my 19 and all my holsters worked for either one.
