And the 239 is a three caliber gun, if you get the 40/.357Sig version. Buy the other barrel along with an OEM 9mm barrel.

Colt saa- what is this 8 round contact magazine you mentioned? Is it simply a 7 round with a Plus One or something else?

I know about those. All my 239 mags have them. I thought he was talking about something else.

The 8 round magazines were originally made for a specific Agency contract. Yes they have what folks are calling the +1 base plate but more specifically they had witness holes for 8 rounds and were phosphor coated instead of blued for superior corrosion resistance. In addition to the three that came with my P239, I acquired about half a dozen extra. I never use the 7 round magazines any longer. I like the little extra space for my pinky

The SRT is a nice touch also. I passed on the first p239 I held-the second filthy but cleaned up like new. Circa 1997

My EDC is a .40 w/ hogue grips. I don't shoot it enough but when I do, it instills confidence. It shoots like a full size and while most are embracing double stack mags, I've gone the other way.

| Will someone please point me to a good online resource for this gun? I'm looking for models, dates, countries of manufacture, options, etc.
