Thank you Fenris. I like the model Bruce showed which IIRC was the 1st Sig produced standard slide length P220 in the 10mm. Pistol that size would be flatter to carry than a G20.

I agree David, I love my Glock 20 10mm, but my Sig P220 10mm Hunter is easier and much flatter to carry, more like a 1911 to me, the trade off is the amount of rounds, that goes to Glock, both are great shooters and reliable...as well as accurate..

Did they ever release a P220 10mm without the rail?

I think the only P220 being recently offered without the rail would be an X-Six. 45 ACP & 9mm Para are the only X-Six offerings that I have found.

I just purchased one of these myself and have had two flawless range trips so far. Love the gun.

BTW, if you purchased that this month. Sig is having a rebate right now and you can get two free mags and a pistol bag. I sent mine in last week and already received notice the pistol bag was on the way. It may be 30 days before the mags ship.

I just put a deposit on a P220 10mm legion. I would have picked it up today but was pressed for time. I will have it in my safe by week's end

And, there is also the Kimber RMEF 1911 in 10mm...

Just found a used Nitron at a LGS for 1100 that barely looks used, includes box, 3 mags, original papers. It's top of my want list but this is really a bad time. Their layaway is only 2 months! A secret purchase wouldn't feel right, since we just put off $1200 repair to fix the top on my wife's convertible.

If I might offer a bit of rationalization..."since" your wife got a new convertible top...isn't is "your" turn for something? Just sayin' Big Grin

Pretty old thread...
I love the 10mm. Its the perfect round for semi autos I have a S&W 1066 and bought a Sig P220R5 -10 SSE SAO. The SA trigger is great. Very accurate and a blast at the range. It looks brand new but date on case says June 2015.

Ive purchased 2 this year and keeping my eyes open for a Legion SAO at a decent price.

Having owned a few 10mm 1911's, for me, the P220 is head and shoulders better to shoot. Little tougher to conceal but thats not why I bought them.

10 years to retirement! Just waiting!
