P210 Carry Two Tone

leonidas211P210 Carry Two Tone
I’ve seen a few of these on GB and was not aware this was ever a factory option. I no longer see the carry as part of Sigs line up.
Anyone know if those are true factory pieces?

patwThey should be and might have been a custom shop thing or part of a Lipsey's run. It's a shame Sig discontinued the P210 carry.

ridewvI've noticed them on various sites as well (around $1,300) so it must be a finish done by Sig after the "Custom Carry" run was over.
No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

herbie220From what I’ve read it has a steel frame. I thought it was odd for the carry model. Still nice looking though.

The stated weight makes zero sense. 3.4 lbs = 54.4 oz, which would mean the smaller P210 carry (w/a supposed SF) is heavier than the standard full-size P210 (w/a SF) by a wide margin. I suspect someone at Lipseys doesn't know what the frame material is, like so many in marketing, and assumed it was steel when it reality it's alloy.

bac1023I just saw the two tone carry model in a local shop yesterday. I don’t care for the aluminum frame on the P210 Carry. I had one a couple years ago and got rid of it. It was the only P210 I ever owned that I didn’t like. Some pistols just need to be steel.

The P210 Carry was never made with steel frame.

There are multiple postings on GB right now for a Two Tone model. All the postings claim steel frame. If it was only one ad, I would suspect a typo or an ignorant seller. But, with multiple different sellers all claiming the same thing, I’d suspect it’s correct.

leonidas211Well. I’ve bought one. When it arrives. I will confirm.
I doubt it. But we shall see.

Every one of those ads indicate it's 3.4 lbs, which makes zero sense per my earlier comment. They must have used some kind of high density steel then b/c at that weight it would be almost 9 oz heavier than the much larger, all-steel P226 X5.

12131^^^ Yeah, because the data were all taken from a single source, whatever that source is. And so, it's wrong, like so many times we have seen before.

If people actually read my original post in this thread I indicated that the falsehood comes from Lipseys - literally on their website.

The Lipsey’s page indicates that is a shipping weight, which makes sense. Unfortunately, that doesn’t answer our question if it’s steel or not.

12131Mfg Part Number: 210CA-9-TSS
T = Two tone
SS = SIGLITE Sights
This has always been SIG's designation for their 2-tone alloy frame guns with SIGLITE. If it's an all steel gun, it would be TSSS.

OddyseusDSMAww hell.
Might have to get one. I love my P210 standard and have been resisting the compact.
But I have a thing for 2 tones.

I have carried my p210 carry for about 2 years in a VM2. It’s been in multiple courses. It was tuned by Bruce Gray. 100 percent reliable and a dream to shoot.
Yes. Better carry guns. But it’s beyond classy.
Highly recommend it and Bruce Gray.
When my two tone gets here. Will go to Bruce as well.

Leonidas,
We’re still curious, did you get your gun in? What type of frame is it?
