I shot one to check the factory 3 dot sights last week. They were off. Rear sight appears too high. Owner said it has a Sig .08 dovetail. Is that true? I have no use for striker fired plastic guns. BUT - this had a decent trigger (with a short reset) and felt GREAT in the hand. I need a "teaching gun" to give lessons at the range with. THIS M2c2 seems like a decent pistol to assume that role. It will be the 1st striker fired gun I purchase. Provided reviews from owners check out. So what say the folks that own one? Thanks! Regards 18DAIThis message has been edited. That rug really tied the room together. |
Get a Canik TP9SF or a Glock 19? Mossberg is pretty meh... ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow

I think you mean the MC2C. I was interested in one until I got an Arex Delta. The MC2C is thinner though. It's the same size as a G48, and you don't have to buy a Shield Arms mag to carry 15+1 rds. MC2C and Delta are both impressive for guns you can find in the in upper $300 range. Canik TP9s are also impressive but significantly bigger, especially in width.

Yes, thanks iron chef! I corrected my post title. Thats one of the things that appealed to me. It is thin. And the grip didn't feel like a piece of wood or ax handle. I also found the trigger was decent, for a striker fired plastic gun. Short reset like my 3rd gen guns. I didn't realize they could be had in that price range. Thanks for the info! For the record, I am NOT interested in any other plastic striker fired gun. Thanks anyway. Regards 18DAI 7+1 Rounds of hope and change

I have it alongside a G48, and Arex Delta. So far I am quite impressed. I waited until I could find one with the manual safety, and it is reversible for your taste. I just have to find some quality ammo to truly wring it out. The 'regional' brand that I bought a case of it doesn't like. I am sorry that I know nothing about its ability to use other sights

The Mossbergs do use Sig dovetails.

Haven't had the chance to touch the MC2c yet; it's MIA just like all of the Mossberg shotguns that we ordered back before the damn pandemic craziness happened. Even our rep has stopped saying "real soon now"... But I did shoot the MC1sc a while ago (hate that name, btw...too many letters + digit to commit to memory...like some stupid frivolous exotic sports car or some such nonsense). The G43 wannabe actually was surprisingly good for Mossberg's first time out at making a poly "WonderNine" and their first handgun in over a century. Recoil felt nicer than with my G43 and it worked just fine with my Glock's magazines, including the ones with base plate extensions. Only objection I had was with the original price; they sell now due to all of the 2020 crap that's happened but before that they were a HARD sell, what with larger cap 1.0 Shields going for $250 NIB, Ruger's EC9s at $279 and truckloads of Taurus G2s and G2Cs leaving the shop at around $200-$250, not to mention their 709 Slim which we had for under $180 at the time. And then the unproven Mossberg comes along with a high 300s price. Sure it beats the G43 and the 2.0 Shield, but with so many proven platforms that undercut the then-newbie it was no wonder that the darn thing would gather dust in our display case. -MG
