Let me preface these remarks with, I am a long time SIG user and fan. My history is with the "classic" series pistols, and I have been issued the P226 and P229 and carried them in "harm's way" since the late 1980's for the P226 and the late 1990's for the P229. I still carry P225, P228, P229 and P239's regularly, the P226's are occasionally carried OWB and are on the nightstand and in the truck. I have no qualms or any concerns about these P-Series guns being dependable, reliable and safe. I am well invested in the P320 Series guns as I have five of them (P320 X, P320X-Five, P320 AXG Scorpion, P320 AXG Fullsize duty gun and the P320 X-Ten in 10mm). They have been range toys for the most part; I've shot a few matches and attended one defensive pistol training class with the P320 AXG Scorpion and was starting to carry it and the X-Ten. With the growing concerns over the P320 they are all now safe queens and have been since March of this year. I've not had any issues to date with my P320's but I do have enough concern that I won't carry them. I am not confident that it is a safe reliable sidearm. I never felt that way about any of the P226/MK25 or P229's I but into a holster or on my vest/plate carrier. Is the P320 issue fixable or have we gone from life support/terminal to SIG should pull the plug? Any ideas on what SIG may do? Thier credibility is fading fast with consumers. A few friends still in the LEO community are openly questioning SIG's tactics of deny, deny, deny and are considering where their departments go next? For many, the P320 mess has ruined SIG's legacy created by decades of support created by the classic P-Series guns. What will SIG do? StarchedCover

And yet, NOBODY has been able to identify exactly what is happening to holstered P320 Pistols. What do you expect SIG to do, and/or admit to? Seriously... I'd bet those in Engineering & Development at SIG have been directed to go over this a thousand times already, and they keep coming back with the same results. I'd bet they've now been directed to dedicate ALL of their resources to looking at this in light of the recent focus on this issue. When/if they come back with the same answer, they're being told go look at it again and don't stop looking until you find something! And yet, it seems the trigger needs to pulled in order to get the P320 to discharge. ____________________________________________________________ If Some is Good, and More is Better.....then Too Much, is Just Enough !! My theory, gleaned from a video, is trigger width vs trigger guard width and interference with Safariland holsters. I don't have a P320 so I am unable to make any empirical observations. This message has been edited. Last edited by: SigSentry,

If there is identifiable issue with the P320 I'd expect SIG to own it. I couldn't fathom a WAG on how many P320's are in circulation world-wide and I'm not sure what that might look like. For me, in the event the P320 is defective and there is a fix/repair that is a full remedy, I'd probably send my P320's back to SIG for repair and move on. If the platform is defective and unrepairable I'd look for a refund or possible a healthy credit towards another SIG firearm. At this point I'm like most who have a P320, just waiting to see how this plays out. StarchedCover
