Well, I now own a new SIG P-220 CPO (Red Box). I really did not think I would have the winning bid, I paid 599.99 It has a Stainless Steel slide, internal extractor, German frame and is an American made gun. It in excellent condition and appears to be un-issued and looks damn cool. I know very little about the P-220 and was curious, do I have a keeper?

Welcome to SIGforum.

Yes, I believe you may have a keeper.

However, shoot it. Only you can determine if the P-220 is a suitable platform for you.

I am a long time fan of the P-220, but recognize it is not right for everyone.

As a new guy, we will be expecting a range report. Smile

Yes, it's a great gun. But, as Steve said above, it's not for everyone. Just because you love it does not necessarily means someone else will. Need to give it a workout first. Wink

Six years ago, I was able to find a CPO P220 in reverse two-tone. It's very accurate and the recoil is not bad at all. It's been all I need in .45 ACP.

My first Sig, and feels like it was designed for my own hands.

At that price, I would have jumped. Only addition for me would be Hogue G10 grips.
Welcome to Sig Forum. Lots of expertise here on the P220.
