I have thought about it...but my back still hurts with the weight / pressure it puts on it...

I lived through the ccw/cop fanny pack time, and owned a few...however I say that from the comfort of my anonymous keyboard...

On a heavy carry day, I'll carry a G19. I've tried IWB and AIWB but my back still struggles. Currently my main three carry weapons are a P365, a G43, or a S&W 642. The P365 on paper is only an ounce or two heavier than the G43, but the 43 just feels lighter when I carry it, and it is a touch thinner. Regardless, any of them IWB cause all kinds of hate and discontent with my back.

Damn! If a S&W 642 and a G-43 are messin with your back that bad, I’d say keep the guns and figure out how to fix the back! And I’m being 110% serious!

Until then, look at a belly band, or just tossing the S&W in your front pocket.
Grip-clip maybe for the S&W

Clip draw for the lil Glock?

I'm actually in the midst of that...but it takes time. Between acupuncture, yoga (hey I AM in California), and PT it will be a long journey. In the midst of this I still choose to carry. The 642 and G43 are getting a lot of carry in a shoulder bag.

I didn't see it mentioned. What about the belt? That makes all the difference for me. I use Beltman for leather and Instructor belts for off polymer off duty holsters. I can do an N-frame for all day hikes without too much pain.

Glad to hear this!
(NOT JUDGING on the yoga! That stuff helps!)

Tossing it in a shoulder bag, or an appendix carry are about the only other things I can think of.
(Well, a lil Ruger LCP 380)

Get well soon!

I wear a G43 just in front of the hip, not quite appendix. I don’t have to cinch the belt for it to have support. Cinching a belt tightly can aggravate lower back stuff.

It’s an IWB hybrid.
