My buddy just got himself a P365 and was kind enough to ask for help in shooting 250+ rounds through it. I obliged of course. Rather than just blow through some ammo, I decided to go side to side with my EDC P320 Carry. First I did 20 rounds (124 gr Blazer Brass) through each, slow fire at 10 yards. I did the P320 first, and always fight my flinch indoors. I called the two lowest left (and muttered bad words at myself). Although not my first time shooting a P365, I was surprised at how well I was able to shoot it, even with my big monkey hands. I did go a little slower with the P365, making sure my grips didn’t change where my support thumb suddenly extended beyond the muzzle. It never happened, but I wanted to be sure before going faster. Then I changed targets, now at only 7 yards, and went rapid fire. First 10 rounds of double taps from low ready, then 10 rounds of mag dump, then another 10 of double taps. Although my slow fire group was better with the P365, it was clearly easier to control the P320 rapid fire. No doubt I’d rather carry the P320. But the P365 is definitely getting my attention. I don’t do small pistols, but 10 rounds in a pocket piece? Sounds like the prescription for when my back is jacked. I remember the P365 I shot at a demo day having a trigger almost identical to the P320, and this one was a touch heavier with a slight catch to it, but still pretty decent. Maybe the demo had just been shot enough to smooth out nicely. Side note: my buddy was seeing about replacing his G43. He’s convinced, especially after shooting them back and forth with +p HSTs. You could definitely feel the difference, the SIG, even slightly smaller, handled noticeably better. ------------------------------------------------ Charter member of the vast, right-wing conspiracy

Interesting! The targets do tell a story, huh. The P365 is slowly drawing me in, especially if/when they put out one with a manual safety.... ________________ tempus edax rerum

I haven't shot a P365, but I own a P320 Carry. IMO, that pistol practically shoots itself. With the full-length grip, there's never an issue with getting back on target. It's almost not fair to put any subcompact up against it. I'd like to see the same comparison against a P320 SC. Any volunteers?

Are those targets a standard B27 type and size? “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

I blasted more rounds through the P365 yesterday and several magazines were rapid fired. I’ve had two failures to extract in 1,200 rounds but they’ve both occurred with the same magazine and load (not sure if that matters), but during deliberate point shooting rapid fire the accuracy and controllability are remarkable. _______________ #COMMUNISTMANBAD

Picked up a p365 a few months ago and diligently put about 1000 rounds through it just to make sure it didn’t suffer from any of the rumored (real and imagined) problems. Shoots like a dream and isn’t particular about what ammo it wants to chew on. Picked up its big brother, P320 full Rx which will soon get a taste of my ammo supply. My thoughts on slow vs rapid fire is they will be similar in slow while the 320 will have an edge on rapid fire. I’ll put them to the test and report back. Regards all

Good eye, no I screwed up ordering and they’re smaller. I guess the idea is to simulate further distance. ETA: just looked and they’re labeled B-29, which is like 11.5”x23” as opposed to the B-27’s 24”x45”.This message has been edited.
