P320 Compact to P320 X Five Carry and magazine question
Bought a Legion back in June so I received a coupon code; I'm thinking about using the credit to pick up an X5 Compact frame for my standard 320 Compact.

Don't laugh, I've been busy with all types of life events so I want to make sure this is doable. In addition are there any concerns with doing this?

Has anyone already done it and do you have a before after pic?

Lastly, do the X5 21 round mags work with the X5 Legion?

Thanks

Yes the XCompact frame will work with a compact slide. You will see about 1/4in of the dust cover. The Xcompact frame it cut to be flush with a sub-compact slide. I have a Xcompact frame on a compact pro cut slide and it looks great. I would post a picture but the slide is off getting refinished.

The newer style 21 round magazines will work with your x5 Legion. If you have the old style (3-4 years old) you will have to shave down the plastic base pad to get it to work. If you are buying new magazines just make sure they are X frame compatible.

Since my posting I've also figured out that a Compact slide on a X5 Carry frame has some extra space also.

I'm leaning toward just getting rid of the standard compact and picking up an X5 carry.

I have the Legion; thanks for the information.

It shouldn't, a compact and carry slide are the same length. But you can't go wrong with an XCarry, you have the option of a RDS.
