I figured I would start a new thread…. Just for CZ clones. I’ve had a few, but agree that the AT 84 is a very nicely done excellent fit and finish CZ copy.
Unfortunately mine is missing the rear sight, and I am still, off and on, trying to find something that fits the dovetail. On the other hand, the missing sight let me get it dirt cheap.

Oh, just to show some respect to the OG version, my ever so humble early 80s CZ 75. I got it from one of the big batches of Israeli surplus imports a while back.
It looks like crap, but has the absolutely best DA/SA trigger I’ve found. Smooth and light in DA and crisp in SA. If I was still young enough to cope with an all steel carry gun, this guy would be at the top of the list. Need to find some more mags that will work with it…

Picked up a used AT 84 back in the late 1980s, sold it long ago. Its more the Swiss version of the Italian Tanfoglio. Not really a true CZ 75 clone. More than a few internal parts of the AT 84 will not interchange with the CZ 75. The problem I had with mine is it did not do so well with the old school 9mm hollow points from the era from a reliability standpoint. But it seemed to be OK with 9mm FMJ.

I owned a couple of the AT 84s back in the 80's as well. They were nicely finished but I did not shoot them very much before trading them off.
I also owned a TZ-75 back then, it was not too bad of a pistol but did not like CCI Blazer very much, everything else worked fine. I think the rim of the Blazer aluminum case did not quite agree with the extractor geometry of my TZ-75.

A friend had an AT84. It looked good but was not notably accurate vs his S&W.
I had a TZ75 with compensator and fluorescent orange front sight; not a FO insert, the whole blade. It was not real great, either, and not competitive vs then-new 2011 and overloaded 9x21 CZs.

Man I love that gun. If only it had gotten on my radar 10-15 years ago. Now I think I missed the boat on any reasonable price for a good one. Then it could have been had for ~$500.

I have no idea but this guy claims it's accurate:

I really like your pictures, even sans the rear sight.

I had an at84. It was a good gun, but I did not find the heat treating to be that good.
I had numerous failures of parts, ejector, extractor, feed lips. The breach face took some damage.
I found the rear sight to be very tiny and hard to look through.

I picked up my first one about 10 years ago for about $550. It's LNIB with 3 mags. A year or so later, I grabbed another one for around $625 (no box). If you are really interested in getting one with box, paperwork, and accessories, plan on busting out $1200 or more. You may also consider picking up the Springfield P9 - easier to find at about half the cost.

Thank you for turning me on to this gun! All my Googling and I had not come across it. Yes, there are a couple on Gunbroker right now. Just need to do more research.

I got one in December from a local shop where it was languishing with some ugly Uncle Mike's grips on it. I searched my spares box and had these nice looking wood panels from a CZ so on they went. A friend has one with the original wood and agreed these look as good or better than his.
original pic from the case (I worked a combo deal on this and a S&W 2213 that they also had).

Should say...I regret not buying a LNIB blued AT84S from my local shop for $399 a couple years back. For whatever reason, they've shot WAY up since then (over 1k)

The Springfield version was not on the market long. I liked the styling of the AT84 and Springfield S9 better than the CZ original.
I had one of the TZ75's.

Lee Tool has a small parts kit from an AT84 and I believe the rear sight is one of the parts in that kit.

Same. I'm so picky about esthetics and the omission of the milling on the sides of the dust cover of the AT84 looks so much better (in my eyes) than the CZ. I love that plain clean look.

There is a AT84S on GB which includes box and 3 mags and looks to be in great condition. Current bid is $781 with 11 hours left. If it doesn't turn into a last-minute feeding frenzy, this could be a good opportunity.

I think the current bid is rather high for a CZ75 clone. How much do you think a AT84s is worth?

Well, apparently the going rate is over a grand, so less than that is probably a decent price.
