Hi glad to be here, owned many Sigs but finally started acquiring some Sigs I've wanted a long time. I asked this question on another forum but did not get much beyond some speculation. I picked up a sig P226 all German with no importer stamp/marking. It is a KE (94') two tone W. German slide (no Exeter, Herndon, Tyson, etc.) Frame has proof marking and matches barrel/slide so it is a full German gun. What instance would cause for no import marking? Also, how do I determine if the slide is factory finish in silver? It does not appear Nickel but more stainless. Thanks! This message has been edited. Last edited by: parabellum,

Peace through superior firepower |
Most likely, a European-purchased "bring-back" by a member of US armed forces, or perhaps a purchase by an American commercial airline pilot. As to the finish, it sounds like an aftermarket refinish. If you could post some pics, it would be most helpful.

That's just the Flomax talking |
A SIG without import marking is not that unusual. I currently own a P210 and a commemorative P226 without import marking.
