KobrenWaffenfett Grease
Is Waffenfett grease as used by the Swiss military for the P-75 available in US? Also availability of P-75 cleaning kit/pouch. I'm now using Mobil 1 grease, would that be similar to Waffenfett?

OTDThe product is called Automatenfett. Automatenfett is a mixture of lithium soap (grease), MoS2 and other additives. The mixing ratio of the grease is intended for machine guns. For pistols, it is a compromise based on logistical considerations of the Swiss Army. Any available gun lubricant is an equally good or a better alternative, including Mobil 1 grease.

Blume9mmI have not a clue what is the best grease for the slide on my Sigs... I did drink the Kool-aid here and go from oil to grease a few years back... but instead of trying to determine what was the best 'gun' grease I just started using some I already had ... outboard motor lower gear grease....

EaganiteI too would like to know what grease to use on my pistol slides. After buying my first Sig I bought some "Wilson Combat Ultima-Lube2" for the slide. But have since read that grease is the recommened lubricant.

Pipe SmokerOh boy – another grease thread!

I use slip2000 EWG. Unlike many brands of grease its solid and liquid components don’t separate. I even use it on the slide of my Beretta 87 Target despite the fact that most use oil on .22 pistols.

sigfreundFor years I used TW-25B on my Classic line SIG pistols and ARs. After application to guns that aren’t used for a long time it appears to dry out, and that can be a psychological concern if nothing else. For regular use it always worked well for me. Lucas products, including their grease, have a good reputation and they’re what I’ve mostly switched to. The grease seems to continue look like grease. For ease of application I now mostly use Lucas oil with a needle applicator, including on my P320 pistols, but I would use grease on a P226 or P229 if I ever fired them these days.

I doubt it is too thick for South Florida. I feel it does a good job over a wide range of temps.
