I actually just purchased a GX4 Carry this morning. I saw my local place had them advertised for 249 and that peeked my interest so I drove over and checked them out. Damn if I wasn’t pleasantly surprised when I handled it. I got an FDE one and the fit and finish is actually above par from all the other Taurus guns I’ve looked at. Comes with 2 fifteen rd mags and 3 backstraps. I had a box of mixed carry ammo in my bag so I stopped on my way home without cleaning it and it went thru a 100 rds of mixed Speer, Hornady, Win and Federal 115 to 147 grain stuff. I know that isn’t much in the way of reliability testing but it didn’t choke on the mixed bag of hollow point stuff so I was happy. It has a very distinct wall almost like a Glock with NY trigger. It breaks clean and without any way to measure it, I’d guess 7-8 pounds. I didn’t hate it at all and shot it quite well. I went into it with low expectations but I thought for the price, if it felt good in the hand, it would make a great bag gun or a stash gun in the house. For 249 I hope it continues to impress me. FWIW I also have a 365 XL that I really like but at less than half the price the GX4 carry seems to be a pretty decent alternative for someone on a budget. Again this was only a small sample of ammo and my initial thoughts, that my change the more I play with it.
