Hello wfodave, You wouldn't necessarily need a SIG pistol to use this barrel. The SIG barrel could be used in other manufacturer's 9MM,38 Super, 40 S&W or 10MM pistols with a frame cut for a W/N ramp barrel. I don't have a SIG 1911 type pistol, but If I didn't already have 38 Super pistols, I'd buy one of those barrels myself.

SIG doesn't seem to have any .38 Super 1911s in production right now. Did they ever offer any options in .38 Super besides the Ts?
