Neat design. I wonder if they can make a much smaller red dot sight, since it doesn't have to deal with the same recoil as a unit on a reciprocating slide. I'd also have to retrain myself on racking the slide and clearing malfunctions with that stationary top rail.

I own an Alien and I do enjoy it immensely. But aside from having it lost, damaged or stolen, I have no real desire to do it again, Creator appreciation for his design ingenuity notwithstanding. I would however appreciate the design far more for 1/4 or 1/3 the price. That to me makes its creation far more relevant to the gun universe. Also I DO wish it allowed for other RDS options.

Calling the new one the 'Holy Grailest' of pistols...not really, at least in my mind. That honor goes to only one gun, and one gun alone, the one that inspired pretty much every other handgun on the market today:

1911, s/n #1.

Those are awesome, but they certainly don’t shoot like an Alien.

It may not shoot like an Alien, but to a Korth collector, its worth three times the price of an Alien. So at least the Korth has got goin' for it...

Yes, I own a couple of those also. They have been going up quite a bit over the past 10 years and I expect that to continue.

Grail Gun for me would be an ASP 9mm. I had a Devel back in the 90s and had a chance to buy an ASP at that time, but passed.

A few days back I saw an ASP on Gunbroker for $9,500. I thought about it and my wife told me that I should get it, but I just can't pull the trigger... Wink
