Midway had Buckmark Hunter for $399 shipped just before the election, so I finally bought after wanting one for quite a while now and wife can now have unrestricted access to the Stainless Camper. Big Grin

I want to get a red dot for it that mounts on the standard rail it comes with. Browning is now shipping certain models with the Vortex Crossfire 2 red dot that I actually have on my Ruger 10/22 right now. Looking to pick up something soon with all the deals that will be going on. Looking to spend around $100-$150. For target shooting only out to about 75 feet and don't care about co witness for this pistol. Looking for excellent reliability and decent optics plus must come with low mount for picatinny rail.

Any experiences or thoughts about appreciated.

So far contenders are:

Another Vortex Crossfire 2
SIG Romeo 5 - $115
Holosun 403B - $120

What PSA currently has in about that price range. Right now they are OOS with the Vortex Crossfire 2. I will search Gun Deals too.

Sig Romeo 5 Gen 2

The Gen 2 came out a about 3 months ago and it's an improvement over the original.

I have one mounted on a Ruger MkII bull barrel. Absolutely love it.

That's a steal!

I put one on my MkIV 22/45. Works like a charm.

Thanks, I got the Venom 6 MOA on my HK VP9L and love it, got it for $129 but for the Buckmark I want to try the 20MM tube style 2 MOA. Leaning toward the Sig Romeo 5 Gen 2.

I did not like the tube style on my Buckmark seemed bulky to me and ended up putting a Vortex Venom on it and am very happy.

Get This. Tube style dots suck on pistols. It is a little more than your budget, but much better than the ones you are looking at. It does not come with the little rail mount base, but I’m certain I have one I could gift to you.
