Those aluminum grips cost that much? I didn’t know that. I’ll put Hogue rubber on it anyway. I went in today but didn’t leave with it. I’ll probably go back for it tomorrow.

I have an affinity for the P220ST. Over the years, I have picked up three (two with the propriety rail and one with the standard rail, but with an internal extractor). If I came across that deal, I would most certainly spend disposable income on it!

I think they’re fantastic pistols.

Good luck with your decision!

I can hardly wait to see it. I appreciate not only your guns, but also the great pics you share with us.

They only cost about $100 new but they are very desirable grips and out of production.
$300 would be a easy selling price on ebay.
Your seller has no idea what those grips are and there value. Which if separated and sold by the buyer if like you prefer the Hogue rubbers brings the unit cost way down.

Well shoot, if that’s true it’s a real no-brainer. I’ll go get it in the morning. Background checks are taking three days here in CO. I’ve never had to wait to get a gun.

Yeah, those grips are pretty sought after by those who know and want them. But, paying $300 for a set is just plain ridiculous. I wouldn't pay more than $150 for them, and that is if I'm desperate.

That gun's serial number is 7 higher than mine, so I say buy it!

Just waiting on the background check. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up tomorrow. I’ve never had to wait to take a gun home before. I’ve got to order some Hogue stainless hex grip screws now.

Nice. With grips, NS and looking more ‘preowned’ than used, you did well on one of the best .45s out there, for probably less than what the CRK and Hinderer set you back.

Good start to the weekend.

I usually hunt down decent deals on knives. Would you believe I grabbed that Hinderer for $200? It’s a TAD limited edition too. Stole that one. That particular CRK has a Hawk clip and custom titanium backspacer that definitely increase its value. I did buy a leather inlay Sebenza Classic that cost what this SIG did but that’s a rare one.

Very nice. That does look like it'll give you many years of happy shooting.

I decided to switch the Hogues that don't wrap around. I liked the slimmer feel of the aluminum grips and these feel good too. I'll probably keep the wrap-arounds on the suppressor host though.

I use and like the Hogues (non-finger groove) on my older ST. FWIW, though, you might find it interesting to try a pair of G10s on your newer ST just to see what you think. How do you like the slimmer (back to front) trigger compared to the trigger on your suppressor host?

Just handling them at home I like both. I’ll probably carry the new one on my motorcycle so I thought the less bulky grips would work better with gloves. I’ll have to shoot them to see if I prefer one.

I was dry firing my P220s today and can definitely say I prefer the trigger on the older one. It has a thinner, grooved trigger and has a pull that’s a little lighter and smoother in both DA & SA. The older one might have had some work done before I got it.
