Nice Magazines For 9mm 1911 (Greg Cote)
Long time member Greg has some very nice Mec-Gar 9mm 1911 magazines. They have some sort of an anti-friction coating and hold 10 rds. I bought 2 and have used them 3 or so times at the range and have had no problems.

^^ I'm going to need to get some more from him. I've got a cheapo knockoff that's turning out to be a lot of fun when I don't have to screw with balky magazines. Those MecGars have solved that problem and Mr. Cote was, as always, a pleasure to do buisness with.

Gents,

Wilson makes some very nice 9mm magazines for the 9mm 1911, too.

Word of caution on the Wilson 10 round 1911 magazines. I purchased 4 on sale from Wilson for my Dan Wesson and all of them sat high enough in the magwell that they rubbed the underside of the slide and the gun would not function. Wilson's customer service was great and exchanged them for .45ACP magazines and took care of all shipping.

I use 10 round Tripp Kobra Mags in it and have had no issue.

I’ve been using Wilson’s 10-rounders for my Springfield loaded target without issue - except they’re boringly reliable.

There was a note with these new mags that they won't work in a Springfield Armory 1911.

Greg is the first place I check for mags.
Has been for years.

200Z-71: The next question is which Wilson 9mm magazine? He makes multiple flavors for 9mm and .45.

Based on my experience with Mec-Gar and Greg Cote, I would definitely consider those mags. If, of course, I owned a 1911 in 9mm.
