SIG Jubilee 125th Anniversary P226
So, yesterday, on a bit of a whim I placed a couple of bids on a Jubilee 125th Anniversary P226 and ended up winning the auction.

Information seems to be a bit scarce other than they're anniversary commemoratives and from what I've read, assembled in Switzerland.

Does anyone have any additional info on them?

I have owned one since 2008. Mine was purchased pre-owned, but unfired. It now has 997 rounds fired, so I obviously don't shoot it a great deal. The gun is too ornate for many, but I liked it at first sight and bought it. Mine came in the factory two-tiered wood box with glass window. They were made in Switzerland in 1985. I believe 3000 were produced and mine is JP2397. I posted here about mine, however, that thread has long since disappeared.

I've come across a couple of posts on yours, but, I don't think I've seen that thread.

The one I picked up was listed as mint and comes with the case, etc., although I'm not sure if it has the manual.

I've been keeping an eye out for another Swiss P220 and when I came across the 226, I figured I'd give it a shot.

While it's certainly not going to be carried, it will see the range a bit more than most of them probably have. Most likely, it'll be a bit less ornate the first time I get out with it.

Couple of pics from the auction:

The ATTIC has been bringing a lot of very nice pistols over from Europe. You should go after the 125th SIG anniversary P210 that is still on, Mike.

Oh, I’m keeping an eye on that one. Certainly wouldn’t mind getting into a Swiss 210.

As far as the Attic is concerned, you’re spot on...a lot of nice and interesting items lately. Quite a few have caught my attention.

Great looking pistol!
Years ago a LGS had a 210 Jubilee for $1300. Sadly I did not have $1300.

Interesting. Mine does not have the serial number on the bottom of the trigger guard, however, I do have a serial number on the top of the right rear frame rail.

I just checked mine and it does have the serial number on the frame rail. Interesting in that the serial number on the trigger guard has a "-1" while the slide and frame rail do not.

Based on the pictures I'm seeing on the 'net, there is a lot of variation when it comes to these 226s.

I never knew they made one. Very cool. I like the just right amount of the gold parts on the pistol. It sets the gun off nicely. The wood grips on the other hand, I could give or take.

That's a really nice pistol. I like it.

Kinda looks like something Sadam would have holstered.

Very nice. Reminds me of the X 5 Scandic in that it has just the right amount of gold to be tasteful, but not overly ornate.

I'm not generally a fan of the "commemorative" editions, but those actually look quite nice. Enjoy!

I'd love a Swiss-made version to go with my 550's. Nice score!
