Houge/Sig G10 grips are about perfect for the P-series. Thin, grippy, and very durable. E2 is pretty pointless now.

I am a E2 grip fan for my, and on my P227.
I like the semi -aggressive texture. It does what the intended design professes. Sticks to your clenched hand. Non slip when wet. Fits my hand size well, for being a double stack pistol.
No grip screws to mar and rust. I like them more than a lot of bolt on grips.
E2 rubber stocks. (Original retro term) are great for open carry ; allowed in my home state of Penna.

Took them off my 227. Though I liked the stippling in-hand, it was too abrasive under clothing. In addition, the cut-out under the beaver tail was too small for my medium-sized hands - my trigger finger now wrapped the trigger (I prefer to use the pad of my trigger finger, not the knuckle), so I switched them out for a pair of G10's, which I like much better, both the aesthetics and the ergonomics
