I find myself with 2 West German P228's. One I had sold to my old boss. He recently purchased a newer Shelby Mustang and needed the money back. Both are in good shape with night sights and original cardboaed boxes serial numbered to gun. The newer gun has newer Trijicon HD's. B121XX has zippered 13 round mags. B1991XX has dove tailed 13 round mags. I will probably sell one and keep one. I am loathe to breakup each gun with its proper magazines. Are they correct as boxed? Any reason to change?

The gray cardboard boxes are correct for these two guns. And the mags are correct.

My bad B1215XX. When did they switch from zippered to dove tailed? Approx date and serial numbers?

JK, KA and KB had the zipper.

KC, KD, KE, KF, KG, KH, KJ, KK and so on had the dovetail. Also, the Mec-Gar mags started showing up in the 2000's.
