My neighbor asked me to recommend a carry gun in 9mm for himself to buy. Based on the parameters he described to me I suggested he should take a look at the P938. He liked the 938 and he did purchase That model.

One of the features I really like about my 938 and 238 (both of which I own) is that they can be easily loaded and unloaded with the safety engaged.

Recently, I asked him if he’s enjoying the gun and he said he really does like it but he has noticed that with the safety engaged, he cannot wrack the slide.

My question is: has Sig changed the way the model works? I suggested he gives Sig a call.....I’m curious if other owners have experienced this with either p938 or p238?

The slide will not move with the safety on and the hammer down.

With the hammer fully cocked and the safety on you should be able to rack the slide.
