The 225A1 has the same mag sleeve with a different baseplate.
Change out the baseplate and you'll have a 239 mag.

The 225A1 mag sleeve can be rebased for 9mm use in the 239. BUT, not for 40 or 357.

I heard somewhere that a 225 Magazine can be used
but cannot verify.
I also plan to reach to EFK and KKM to see if
they can make a run the P239 barrels -- since SIG
had, appeared to have abandoned P239.

Although this thread is giving me a slimmer of hope!

I would check out Bar-sto for barrels, unless you don't care for them. They generally require a little bit of fitting but nothing a local gunsmith can't handle.

I got a 9mm barrel for my .40 and it shoots pretty good and even though I have a couple 9mm mags in box, I just use the .40 mags w/ no problems.

I recently purchased a 239 40sw. again.

I've had multiples of 239 9mm, 40sw and 357sig prior in all trigger configurations. DA/SA DAO and DAK. I should have kept my 239-357sig barrel...

I may be an odd duck but the 239 is still my favorite sig. I still have a 220 W. German and have had many other sigs 226,229, 228, 245 232, P6 my first sig which brought me to SIGforum in 2008.

The 239 is my goldylocks gun. Easy to carry shoots like a bigger gun and I like the single stack configuration

I've been buying mags for 40 and 357... Now to find a 357sig barrel is so far impossible. Unless I go to Bar-sto or someone else. I don't have a smith in my area to fit it if I do... I guess I'd have to send them my slide or whole gun which is not desireable but may be my only choice.

I talked to SIG the other day and they do have barrels for the 239-357sig but they won't sell them they are only for "REPAIRS" to damaged guns with damaged barrels. Darn....

RANGER20, I went and checked my P239 parts to see if perchance I had a barrel ... but no go.

Keep looking... and I'm the same... a P239 fan... I have one on my desk with a laser target cartridge in it and about every other day I practice with it.

You are not an odd duck. I feel the same way. I have tried to get away from the 239 because of capacity and have bought many handguns but I keep returning to my 239.

YES This!
I have enough confidence in my shooting ability to not need a double stack and the related grip size that goes with it. I much prefer single stack and love the P 239. {especially in 40}

For the last two weeks I've been trying to get to the pistol range at my gun club to 'prove' the two pistols I carry. Until yesterday, too many folks there shooting to take the time to set up and so I just either return home or go on down to the rifle range. Yesterday I showed up very early and set up and waited until 9:00 (can't shoot before then) and finally got to shoot. I think it's been something like two years since I fired the pistol I carry 90% of the time and even longer for the other one.

Sig P239 in 357 sig (for out and about in the world) and a P230 (when I'm walking the dog).

Both worked flawlessly and are as accurate as anyone would want. I will say the p230 is not as much fun to shoot as the P239.

Not exactly impossible. Osage has them in stock: .357 34.99, .40 39.99, 9mm 32.99. They also ship free (USPS) on all Sig accessory orders over $200.

I used to carry P239 daily.

I have gone to the P365.

I am sure that is what has happened to most of the P239 sales.

Cannibalized by P365.

It is a great gun, but heavy and large compared to the P365

I love the way the P365 shoots. I may eventually own one but I went the Gen5.26 way w/ 10/12/15/17/etc. rnd mags.
But no matter what, I can't jam .40 or .357 sig into this gun like I can my P239.

I'm wondering if this whole 9mm craze will bounce back the other way. Unlike LE, I don't have a bean counter telling me I have to limit myself to 9mm at the practice range and on the street.

Thank you Blume9MM Appreciate your effort!!
BULLDOG7972 Couldn't agree more...
ROYM YUP what you said Smile

Im in KOMMIEFORNIA and getting a P365 is expensive used they are $1,600 and up I see the love for them Perhaps when I get out of this horrid state in a few years I will try one.

Until then: and that still wont negate the way I think about the 239.

Sure there are lighter guns and ones that carry more rounds and have better ergonomics to some. But for me the 239 is like an extension of my hand never fails always hits what I aim at.
