What holsters do you use? Do you find the comp interferes with fit (i.e. it's too wide for the channel)? I usually use G-Code holsters but I called today and they said that they've found the Agency comps interfere with fit. Seems odd to me since the comp looks just about slide width. Thoughts? ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

I can't answer your question, but if its the width of the slide I would think it might fit in something intended for a G17? Or on many of my glock holsters the bottom doesn't exist (bladetech for example), so it should work there. but I am curious, of what benefit is a compensator on a G19. I've seen many on competition guns where they feed gas to it, but the idea for one on a g19 just seems odd. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

Compensators have benefits where a large gas volume exists. If you're shooting factory ammunition, it's not going to do a lot for you. Where you can take advantage of a compensator is when you can hand load with powders that push larger gas volumes. Shooters doing 9mm major and pushing 8-9 grains of HS-6, for example, will see benefits from a compensator. Not something someone should do unless they understand what they're doing and where to draw the line, and that pushing 9mm major power will also see increased wear and breakage. I just saw a 9mm major pistol break a few days ago, locked up solidly. It had about fifteen thousand rounds of 9mm major, however, and was a steel open class pistol. For carry, a compensator on a Glock is overkill. Better to invest the time and money in learning to shoot the Glock.

It's a quite old Gen 3 that I want to tinker with, nothing more. Plenty of rounds down the pipe through it in stock condition, and now I want a range toy to play with. ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time.

Hi Oat, it's been a long time, hope you're doing well buddy. I think the issue with the Agency fitting the Gcode holsters for the 17 is due to the extension on the bottom of the comp that matches the guiderod. You could warm up the distal end of the holster with hot hairdryer or heat gun and then place the gun with comp into it until it fits. Use some ice packs taped to the holster where you don't want the kydex to get bendy. "You have the right not to be killed..." The Clash, "Know Your Rights"
