I've got a serious jonesing for one of these beauties. I've had a couple of the original 210's over the years and loved them. Somehow, however, they got away from me and I've regretted that. Is this new gun as good as you thought it would be? If they're anywhere close to being as good as the original the price doesn't seem all that high. What am I missing?

These Italian-made single stack mags on the American P210s tend to allow the top bullet to nose down a little bit just after inserting the bullets. I have found that after loading these mags a dozen or so times that tends to go away and the top bullet then angles up. Just need to wiggle that top bullet a little at first so it will be in the right orientation and go into battery.

I own one. Although Sigs usually have good triggers out of the box, I usually send them off to get an action job. I've even sent a couple of X5's with aluminum frames to get trigger jobs.

This one, however, doesn't need one.

I love it. Despite lacking a rail, an optic, and holding only 8 rounds, it's on my nightstand.

Would be nice if it had X-rays instead of white Siglites. You know, for $1500 and all.

I like the grips though. Would buy a set for my P210T if Sig will well them separately.

I have sig light night sights on mine. I'm older so the larger front sight on X-rays might suit me better personally, but the sig light sights worked surprisingly well when I looked at my groups.

We just had one show up at the shop on Friday. Looks and feels like a nice gun. If you can't find one locally shoot me an email and we can arrange purchasing it and shipping it to your local dealer if you want one

Thanks very much for the kind offer but I'm not quite ready to "pull the trigger". I'm pretty sure now one is in my future, though.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I kinda thought this is the way it would go but it's nice to have a confirmation from the collective.

Between Phoenix, and Tucson, I've handled three now. All kinds of sexy, that one. Sweet trigger action. I can see this one getting the 2.0 double-stack treatment in its future.

Doubtful. Sig Marketing is not known for making wise decisions. Ask instead, why didn't they make it double stack to begin with?

Because then it wouldn't be a P-210 ? Thats like asking why don't people make striker fired 1911's ? The P-210 has always had certain features and lines and it always should because THATS WHAT MAKES A 210. If we have to explain this to you then you are either trolling or just not a P-210 fan and maybe glocks are your think or P320's

Many people have bemoaned the fact that SIG did this or didn’t do that pertaining to guns they produced or didn’t produce. Over the years I have seen complaints about their 1911s, the P227, the P225-1, the P250, the P322, not to mention their highly successful P320 and P365, plus others I’ve probably forgotten.

Complaining that the P210 Carry doesn’t have a staggered column 38+1 ammunition capacity so that it couldn’t be sold in states with magazine restrictions may not seem very compelling to some of us, but I wouldn’t call the complainer a troll because of that. A little tedious and unoriginal, yes, but not a troll.

The debate over ammo capacity is as polarized as any in our culture, just like caliber, sight patterns, and others. I recognize that some folks have a different opinion and respectfully decline to criticize them (in public) for their wrong thinking. Smile

Somebody finally came out with a double-stack 1911 a few years ago which would have, according to some, revolutionized that old platform. I don't have access to all the sales records but I'd guess that John Moses' original design is still outselling the "fat grip" competitor 10 or 100 to one.

A double-stack P210 would, simply, not be a 210.

In the words of an immortal wise man - I have no freakin idea of his identity... "For some, there is no explanation necessary and for others none is possible."
