Took my new Sig P210 A to the range for load development shooting from a bench at 25 yards. My initial results left me thinking that there was either something wrong with the gun or my red dot sights. 4.5 grains to Titegroup, 4.4 grains of Unique. 4.9 Win 231 all with 115 FMJ Zero bullets and Federal Small Pistol Match primers produced nothing I would call a group. They ranged from 3 out to 5 inches. I even threw in some 115 FMJ Blazers I had and they were no better. I finally produced less than 1 inch groups with 6.1 grs. of Power Pistol. Is the P210 A known to be a finicky pistol when it comes to loads? Would heavier bullets allow a little more success with different loads? (Bullets are hard to come by these days and the 115s were all I had.) I couldn't believe how poorly it shot with all but the Power Pistol. The only other gripe I had is the trigger. Though very smooth, the travel is too long for me. FWIW, the 4.4 grs. of Unique shot into less than an inch using my STI long barreled 9mm.

Both of my 210 Targets shoot 124gr much better than 115gr. I use Everglades 115jhp with 4gr Titegroup and the guns will shoot about 2” at 25 yds. If I change the load to 124gr JHP with 4gr Titegroup, the groups are cut in half to about 1”. Those groups are from the bench. Also, remember load development is just as it sounds… development. What works great in one gun may run like crap in another. Find a load that works for your gun and stick to it.

Bullets are not hard to come by at all. They are everywhere. Primers are hard to come by. Here is a link to bullets with free shipping.

Thank you for your reply. I have been in the habit of using Zero bullets that seems to be way behind in their orders. In any case, I ordered some 124 JHP to try out. Despite having several 9mms, I've never tried them before. I am going to try the Titegroup with them. Always had luck with the 115s and until I get the 124s, I'll stick with them and 6.1 of the Power Pistol.

This is looks like a cool site. I have not seen free shipping on ammo so far. Thanks!

Power Pistol is used be many 9mm target shooters. Sounds like your pistol likes it also. I have used it and Unique for years with good results.
