Ran into a Walther Q4 SF yesterday and I really liked it. Felt great in the hand and has a nice heft and it’s made out of steel. Went back to the shop this morning and bought it. Immediately (after a little oil) took it to the range side of the shop and put 100 rounds through it. Loved the sights and hated the trigger.

Any people out there that know ways of improving the trigger or that work on the triggers of these things. I think I am going to love this pistol but it does need trigger work. Apricate any help.

I'd be interested in this too. My Q5 Match SF Pro is a little disappointing in the trigger, so I am hoping to find somewhere that can remedy that.

The cost is not a problem but the reviews talk about reduced pull weight. I don't mind the weight what I do't care for is the CREEP!

Has anyone used the Performance Trigger and found reduced creep?

I've shot the dynamic trigger, and I thought it was great. I would recommend it. I'm waiting to order one for my Q5SF.

I never understood why the SF models triggers are so disappointing, while stock PPQ triggers are excellent. Seems like Walther could’ve just gone with the PPQ trigger.

I would like to see Walther include the Dynamic trigger as part of the standard SF offering, at least on their competition oriented variants.

They charge enough for the guns, that's for sure.

I have had my P4 SF for several months now and have more than 500rnd of 124grn(would have had more but for the availability of ammo at decent price) I love the pistol and the trigger too.

The recommendation of the Dynamic Performance Trigger by Walther for the Q4 SF is dead on. I installed the new parts and the pistol now has a very good trigger. Actually, Walter should have supplied this trigger in the initial package. The pistol is a piece of crap as delivered.

And, for you steel frame fans, the sear assembly is mostly PLASTIC! As a side note, the Wheeler standard punches are too short to work on this pistol. I had to make a longer one out of a nail.

Do you mean creep or take-up? Mine has considerable take-up before hitting the wall but it is clean, not creepy.

I stand corrected. I liked this pistol from the first time I picked it up. I went seeking a Q5 SF but then saw the Q4 SF and went with it.

Upon shooting it I found the trigger so bad that I was pulling off target and struggling to fire the thing. To me that's a bunch of crap. However, with the new trigger the pistol is fabulous. All guns are different, some other guns may well have a decent stock trigger.

So, calling it a piece of crap is unfair.

The take-up on the Dynamic trigger reduces the take-up considerably and there is no creep. Reset is also very short.

I wonder if there is something wrong with your example. I found my Q5SF's stock trigger to be perfectly serviceable, just not commensurate with the gun's price.

This. Unless there is something wrong with it, the stock trigger is decent and not an impediment to accuracy. Compared to the triggers on the polymer PPQs, pull weight for some reason is typically a little bit higher.

But in a gun marketed as a competition gun, geared to competitions where speed is king, it is not optimal and a lot, even most competitors will swap out that stock trigger or modify it.

As at least the Q5 SF is marketed as a competition gun, I'd make the case it should have the trigger most competitors are going to want.

Same with the guide rod. It should have a guide rod set up that allows competitors to tune the gun to the loads they run.

I own a PPQ Q5 SF and found the original trigger to be okay, but greatly improved it with the addition of an Overwatch Precision competition trigger. These were offered before Walther imported their own versions and I'm not sure if the price difference between these two makes one a better choice than the other. In any case, I'm very happy with the end result.

Super nice pistol Puli. What is the little metallic piece behind its magazine extension? These gotta be one of the single nicest steel pistols ever made. Saw the Q4 SF a couple days back. Will definately own a Q5 SF in the future. Walther makes some very nice guns for the cost.
